About the project
This project was completed in 2019 for Action Point, a charity and voluntary organisation. Action Points work is primarily within the Keighley and Bradford area, providing voluntary opportunities to a variety of people. Their web-presence needs to be informative, accessible and an engaging way for service users & employers to navigate content.
The client needed a simple, responsive brochure site that was easy to use, accessible, and clearly presented their projects and services.
This website was built dynamically, using PHP alongside CodeIgniter.
The UI
The focus was on keeping things simple, accessible and responsive.
We used a clean style to keep things on-brand and eye catching, whilst ensuring that best WCAG AA practices were followed within the design.
Backend
For the backend, we set up a simple MySQL database and used CodeIgniter to provide CMS-style functionality.
CodeIgniter’s built-in authentication worked well for the user system and allowed us to intergrate dynamic updates throughout.
